Police are hunting a man and woman following an attempted murder at a property in Clydebank.
Emergency services were called to a property on The Crescent around 1.05am on Monday following reports of an incident.
A 42-year-old man was taken to hospital for treatment.
Detectives are now looking for a man and woman in connection and have appealed for anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward.
The man is described as around 6ft tall, with short, black hair. He was wearing a three-quarter length camouflage jacket, a black jumper, black trousers and grey trainers.
The woman is described as around 5ft tall, with blonde hair. She was wearing a black jacket, a pink t-shirt, grey tracksuit bottoms and black shoes.
Detective constable Eva Logan said: “Enquiries are ongoing and we are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed anything to contact us.
“We are also appealing to anyone who may have private CCTV of the area at the time to come forward.”
