Police are hunting for a man following a voyeurism incident in a swimming pool changing room in Inverclyde.

The incident was reported in the pool changing facilities at the Waterfront Leisure Complex on Customhouse Way in Greenock around 6.30pm on Monday.

Police were called around 10.35pm the same evening with officers now working to identify the man involved.

Inverclyde Leisure, which runs the complex, said it was investigating the incident and urged customers to remain vigilant.

Chief inspector David Doherty, Inverclyde area commander, said: “Around 10.35pm on Monday, March 24, 2025, we received a report of voyeurism which took place in the changing area of a swimming pool on Customhouse Way, Greenock.

“The incident took place around 6.30pm on Monday evening.

“Officers are carrying out a range of enquiries following this report to identify the man responsible as soon as possible.”

An Inverclyde Leisure spokesman said: “All information has been passed to Police Scotland who will investigate this matter.

“Ensuring the safety of our customers and well-being is always at the forefront of our importance.

“Inverclyde Leisure will continue to monitor this incident.

“We ask customers to remain vigilant and as per our facility signage on poolside discourage the use of any mobile devices whilst in the changing village area.”
