Police searching for a driver involved in a crash with a cyclist near Dreghorn have released images of a car.

The incident was reported around 12.50pm on March 27 at the roundabout where Main Street meets Towerlands Road.

The vehicle involved, a black Dacia Sandero, sustained damage to its vehicle trim during the incident and left the scene, driving towards the A71.

The cyclist was taken to Crosshouse Hospital.

Police are now appealing for anyone who has noticed a vehicle of the same description with a trim missing to come forward.

Constable Conor Kelly said: “I would appeal to anyone who has any information regarding the car or the incident to contact us, in particular if you have noticed a vehicle of this description with a trim missing.

“I would also ask motorists with dash-cams, who were in the area around the time of the collision, to check their footage and pass any relevant images to us.”

Anyone with information is asked to call Police Scotland via 101, quoting incident number 1423 of Friday, March 27, 2026.
