Police are on the hunt for thieves after “high-value” electrical transformers were stolen from an industrial estate in Glasgow.

Detectives are appealing for information after the theft from the commercial premises on Atholl Avenue in Hillington between 9.20pm and 11.05pm on Tuesday.

A security gate was overcome, and a “significant quantity of high-value” electrical transformers were taken during the break-in.

Four people are believed to be involved, with a white HGV tractor unit and a black three-door saloon also seen in the area at the time.

Detective constable Rebecca Daily said: “I would ask anyone who was in the area at the time to think back and consider if they saw something which seemed suspicious.

“If anyone has dashcam or recording devices, please check your footage and pass any relevant images to us. Any small piece of information could assist in our enquiries.”

Anyone with information is asked to call Police Scotland via 101, quoting incident number 0524 of March 26, 2025.

Alternatively, you can call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 where information can be given in confidence
