Police have launched a manhunt after masked car thieves stormed a home in West Dunbartonshire.
Three men broke into a property on Campbell Avenue in Dumbarton at around 1:10 am on Thursday, before stealing the keys to a white Audi S5.
The gang then fled the scene in the stolen vehicle.
Police say the car’s registration number is EG16 SON and have released brief descriptions of the suspects in a bid for further information from witnesses in the area.
The first suspect was wearing a grey/black jacket with the hood up, black jogging bottoms and black trainers. The second suspect was wearing a blue hooded top, back jogging bottoms and blue trainers and the third suspect was wearing a dark jumper with a grey hood/snood, jogging bottoms and trainers.
All three suspects also wore face coverings and gloves.
Detective constable Iain Allison, of Clydebank CID, said: “Enquiries into the incident are ongoing and I would urge anyone who has information or who may live in the area and heard or saw anything suspicious to contact police immediately.
“Likewise, if anyone was in the area and has dash-cam footage, CCTV or doorbell cameras I would encourage you to check your footage for anything of relevance.
“Although the property was secure, I would also like to take this opportunity to remind homeowners to review their security – make sure to keep your doors and windows locked at all times.”
Anyone with information is being urged to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident 0129 of April 28, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
