Police hunt man after robbery of G4S van outside McDonald’s in Glasgow east end Google Maps

Police are hunting for a man after a security van parked outside a McDonald’s in Glasgow was robbed.

The G4S security van was in the car park of McDonald’s on Westthorn Drive in the east end of the city on Monday.

The incident took place around 12.50pm and the suspect made off in a black vehicle which was being driven by another man.

Officers say the security officer was not injured as a result of the incident.

They are now hunting for a man and the vehicle involved.

Detective Inspector Phillip Kennedy said: “We’re appealing for anyone who witnessed the robbery, or has any information to come forward.

“We are also keen to speak to any motorists who may have been in the Westthorn Drive area around the time of the incident, and may have dash cam footage, which may assist our enquiries.

“Please call police on 101, quoting incident 1370 of November 28. Alternatively, you can contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, if you wish to remain anonymous.”
