Police ScotlandPolice have found a body in a house in South Ayrshire in search of a man missing from Ayr.
Kevin Finnie was last seen around 9pm on Wednesday, July 24 in the Kings Park area of the town.
Officers found a body within a property in the Midton Road area of Prestwick at around 9.50am on Thursday.
Police said that while formal identification is yet to take place, the family of the 55-year-old missing man have been made aware.
A Police Scotland statement read: “Around 9.50am on Thursday, July 25 the body of a man was found within a property in the Midton Road area of Prestwick.
“Formal identification has yet to take place but the family of Kevin Finnie, 55, reported missing from Ayr, have been made aware.
“There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances and a report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.”
