Woman rushed to hospital after falling unwell near busy city road

A road has been partially closed in Glasgow after a woman was taken to hospital.

Police were called to Bilsland Drive, Maryhill, after receiving reports of a person becoming unwell at around 9.10am on Friday.

Emergency services attended and the woman was taken to hospital, where her condition is currently unknown.

TraffCom has reported that the road is currently closed, and the public have been urged to avoid the area.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 9.10am on Friday, July 1, 2022, officers were called to a report of a woman having become unwell in Bilsland Drive, Glasgow.

“She was taken to hospital and enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.”
