Four police vehicles were called to a block of flats in Glasgow after concerned neighbours mistook a loud TV for “screaming and shouting”.

The residents placed the 999 call around 8.40pm on Monday after hearing loud noises from a neighbouring flat in Kingsway Court in Scotstoun.

However, those inside the flat were found to be watching a movie on a loud TV.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Officers were called to a report of a disturbance at Kingsway Court, Scotstoun, Glasgow around 8.40pm on Monday, August 29, 2022.

“Officers attended and confirmed it was a mistaken report and no further action was required.”
