A ceremonial sword has been confiscated by police called to a wedding party in Glasgow.
Officers were called to a number of reports of a vehicles blocking Dumbarton Road near Queen Victoria Drive in Scotstoun at around 11.40pm on September 6.
A report was also made of a man with a sword.
Police attended the scene and members of a wedding party and its convoy were spoken to by officers.
A mock sword, which was not classed as an offensive weapon, was also removed.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 11.40pm on Friday, September 6, 2024, police were called following a number of reports of vehicles blocking Dumbarton Road near Queen Victoria Drive, Scotstoun, Glasgow and also a man with a sword.
“Officers attended and spoke to those involved, members of a wedding party and convoy, and advice and assistance was given.
“The sword, which was ceremonial, was removed by police.”
