Police were called to a disturbance outside a supermarket in Glasgow after reports of a “running battle” between gangs of teenagers on Monday night.
Officers from Police Scotland were called to the scene near Tesco on Maryhill Road at around 6.20pm after reports of a disturbance.
A spokesman for the force confirmed on Tuesday that two people were issued with fixed penalty notices for breach of the peace in connection with the incident.
A Facebook post from community group No1seems2care said: “There was a running battle on Maryhill Road beside the Tesco and McDonalds.
“Staff from Tesco tried to break it up.
“A number of youths were involved.”
A Police Scotland spokesperson said : “Officers attended a report of a disturbance at Maryhill Road in Glasgow at around 6.20pm on Monday, May 20, 2022.
“Two people were issued with fixed penalty notices.”
