Concern growing for missing 'vulnerable' man with dementia

A ‘vulnerable’ man with dementia may have travelled to Glasgow, say officers who are concerned for his welfare and are appealing for help in tracing him.

John Traill was last seen in the Carwood Street area in Greenock at around 11am on Wednesday, June 9.

It is thought that he may have travelled to Glasgow and likely passed through Buchanan Bus Station.

The 66-year-old also has links to Edinburgh and Coventry.

He is described as 5ft 10in tall and of a slim build, with grey hair and may be wearing glasses.

When he was last seen he was wearing a blue t-shirt, jeans, white trainers, and was carrying a clear plastic orange A4 sized folder.

Police have asked anyone with information about his whereabouts to contact 101 quoting reference 1966 of June 9, 2022.
