Plans for 25 new flats have been given the go-ahead for renters on a 1.5 hectare site in North Lanarkshire.
The flats, near Gibb Street in Airdrie, north of Chapelhall, will consist of 11 one-bedroom and 14 two-bed properties.
Three of the homes will be specifically designed to accommodate wheelchair users.
With the development in a cul-de-sac formation, half of the site will be occupied by the flats, gardens and parking with the rest left as open ground, featuring a realigned footpath and new landscaping.
Existing parking and the domestic access track will also be retained with 45 new parking spaces, including three disabled spaces, also provided.
The plans received formal approval via unanimous decision by the council’s planning committee.
