Two people have been injured following a house fire in Glasgow on Wednesday morning.
Emergency services were called to Forge Street in the Germiston area of the city at around 7.37am on Wednesday.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service dispatched four fire crews to the residential street.
Two people were treated on the scene by paramedics before on was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary.
The fire was extinguished, and the area was made safe before fire crews left the scene.
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “We were alerted at 7.37am on Wednesday, October 2, to reports of a fire within a domestic property on Forge Street in Germiston, Glasgow.
“Operations Control mobilised four appliances to the scene, and crews worked to extinguish the fire.
“Two casualties were tended to by the Scottish Ambulance Service.
“Firefighters have now left the scene after ensuring the area was safe.”
A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We received a call to attend an incident on Forge Street, Glasgow. Two ambulances were dispatched to the scene and one patient was transported to Glasgow Royal Infirmary.”
