A person has been rushed to hospital following a crash which saw a car overturn on the Erskine Bridge on Thursday afternoon.
Shortly after 12.30pm on January 4, emergency services were called to a one-vehicle collision on the northbound carriageway of the A898 Erskine Bridge.
The bridge was closed for a short period of time following the incident and was clear at around 2.40pm.
Police said that two people appeared to have sustained injuries while an uplift of the vehicle was arranged.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 12.35pm on Thursday, January 4, 2024, police were called to a report of a one-car road crash on the northbound carriageway of the A898 Erskine Bridge.
“Emergency services are in attendance and the road is currently blocked.
“Two people appear to have sustained injuries and an uplift of the vehicle has been arranged.”
A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We received a call at 12.34pm today to attend an incident between the M898 and A82.
“We transported one patient to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.”
