A person has been struck by a train in Glasgow, with a number of rail services cancelled.

The incident happened between Pollokshields East and Mount Florida this afternoon.

Emergency services have also been spotted at Queen’s Park station.

A number of trains have been cancelled from Glasgow Central including those to Pollokshields East, Queens Park Strathclyde, Crosshill, Mount Florida and Cathcart.

Police Scotland has been contacted for comment.

A Scotrail statement read: “Due to an incident between Pollokshields East and Mount Florida all lines are closed. We are working closely with the emergency services during this time.”
