A pensioner has been taken to hospital after being hit by a car in Renfrewshire.
Emergency services were called to the scene on Paisley Road in Renfrew at around 9.40pm on Thursday.
A 69-year-old woman was taken by ambulance to the Royal Alexandra Hospital. Her condition is currently unknown.
The driver of the car was not injured following the incident.
The road was closed for a number of hours before reopening around 1am on Friday. Enquiries into the incident are ongoing.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 9.40pm on Thursday, January 5 officers were called to a report of a crash involving a pedestrian and a car on Paisley Road, Renfrew.
“The pedestrian, a 69-year-old woman, was taken by ambulance to the Royal Alexandra Hospital. The driver of the car was not injured.
“The road was reopened around 1am on Friday, January 6 and enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances of the crash.”
