An 82-year-old man has died following a house fire in Glasgow.
Emergency services were alerted to the blaze in Huntingtower Road at around 5.30pm on Saturday.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) mobilised three appliances to tackle the flames.
The pensioner’s body was recovered by the crew.
Emergency teams remained in attendance on Sunday.
A Police Scotland spokesperson confirmed the man’s death is not being treated as suspicious, however a joint investigation will be carried out by the force and the SFRS.
A force spokesperson said: “Police Scotland, along with other emergency services, attended at Huntingtower Road, Ballieston, at 5.40pm on Saturday, April 25.
“An 82-year-old man died.
“A joint investigation will be carried out with the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service, but there are not thought to be any suspicious circumstances.
“A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
