A pedestrian has been taken to hospital after being hit by a car in Kilmarnock.
Police were called to Kilmaurs Road following a crash between a car and a female pedestrian at around 1.25pm on Sunday.
The pedestrian has been taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment.
Officers remain at the scene and enquiries are ongoing, with drivers urged to avoid the area.
A Police Scotland statement read: “Kilmaurs Road, Kilmarnock is closed following a crash between a car and a female pedestrian reported around 1.25pm on Sunday, June 29, 2025.
“The pedestrian has been taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment.
“Officers remain at the scene and enquiries are ongoing.
“Drivers are asked to avoid the area.”
