A pedestrian has been taken to hospital after being hit by a double decker outside Buchanan Bus Station in Glasgow.

Emergency services were called to North Hanover Street at around 1.45pm on Tuesday.

Two ambulances, one trauma team, and a paramedic response unit were called to the scene and a patient was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.

North Hanover Street remains closed between Cowcaddens Road and Killermont Street following the crash.

People have been asked to avoid the area.

An SAS spokesperson said: “We received a call at 13.44pm today to North Hanover Street, Glasgow. We dispatched two ambulances, one trauma team, and a paramedic response unit (PRU) to the scene.

“One patient was transported to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.”
