People have been urged to avoid the area around Glasgow Royal Infirmary after a pedestrian was hit down by a bus.

Police Scotland confirmed that Castle Street was closed at around 3.41pm on Monday following the collision.

The road was closed from Glebe Street to Warnock Street in both directions before it was reopened around 6pm.

The condition of the pedestrian is unknown.

Police Scotland said that the M8 Junction 15 eastbound slip road was also impacted.

Drivers were diverted onto Alexandria Parade and the public has been asked to avoid the area.
