A passenger has been seriously assaulted on board a train in Glasgow.
The incident occurred at 11.47am on a service between Glasgow Queen Street and Garrowhill station on Friday.
Emergency services attended the scene and the victim was taken to hospital by ambulance.
British Transport Police are urging witnesses to come forward to assist in their enquiries.
Officers would like to speak with three teenage boys who were on-board the service.
They are described as white, 13 to 15 years old, and wearing black face coverings and jogging bottoms.
One boy is reported to have been wearing a black balaclava.
The group are believed to have departed the train at Bellgrove station.
