Google MapsA section of a busy motorway was closed following a five-vehicle collision in South Lanarkshire.
Traffic Scotland confirmed that one of the lanes on the M74 near Rutherglen was closed around 9.49am.
Emergency services raced to the scene, with the road later reopening around 10am.
Drivers have been urged to take care in the area.
A Police Scotland said “Around 9.30am on Wednesday, June 5, 2024, we received a report of a crash involving five vehicles on the M74 at junction two.
“Scottish Ambulance Service have been contacted.”
