Emergency services were called to the scene on Neilston Road between Stock Street and Alice Street after receiving reports of the incident at around 11.15am on Wednesday.
The number of vehicles involved and the nature of any injuries are not yet known.
The section of road has been closed off by the police.
Drivers have been urged to avoid the area.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Neilston Road in Paisley is closed between Stock Street and Alice Street following a crash reported to police around 11.15am on Wednesday, May 13.
“Road users are advised to avoid the area.”
