A road on the M8 has closed as emergency services remove an overturned lorry from the carriageway.
Police confirmed the eastbound carriageway of the M8 near junction 5 at Shotts and Harthill is to remain closed to remove the heavy goods vehicle.
Drivers are being urged to seek alternative routes.
Traffic Scotland confirmed the road was restricted after 6pm on Thursday.
A Police Scotland statement read: “The eastbound carriageway of the M8 near junction 5 Shotts/Harthill is closed to allow removal of an overturned HGV.
“Motorists are asked to avoid the area until the road has been re-opened.”
