Scotland’s biggest music festival will take place earlier than usual in 2026, with organisers confirming new summer dates.
TRNSMT, which is typically held in July, has been brought forward to June 19 to 21 at Glasgow Green.
Festival director Geoff Ellis said the change reflects the event’s “ongoing development”.
“TRNSMT is always evolving and it’s all about giving fans, artists and the city the best possible experience,” he said.
“There is no better way to kick off summer than with an incredible weekend of live music and that unbeatable Scottish crowd.”
The earlier dates also mean the festival will not overlap with the Commonwealth Games, which Glasgow is set to host from July 23, 2025.
Last year’s festival saw 50 Cent headline on Friday, Biffy Clyro on Saturday, and Snow Patrol close the weekend on Sunday. Other major acts included Gracie Abrams and Fontaines D.C.
The 2026 line-up has not yet been announced, with organisers expected to release details in the coming months.
