The opening night of a popular musical in Glasgow was cancelled minutes before it was to start due to “technical difficulties”.
Here & Now, a musical based on the songs of the pop group Steps, was due to have its first performance at the King’s Theatre on Tuesday night.
The show, which is set to run for a further four nights at the theatre, was expected to start at 7.30pm, but customers were left waiting outside until show time.
Disappointed ticket-holders were then told by staff that the show was cancelled due to “technical difficulties”.

The official account for the show said customers would be contacted from their point of purchase about the next steps.
However, some are reporting they have yet to receive any information.
The official account for the musical said on X: “We apologise for the cancellation of the show.
“This was due to technical difficulties.
“All ticket holders should have received direct communication from their point of purchase.
“If you have not received that email please do let us know. Thank you.”
A spokesperson for the King’s Theatre said: “Due to technical issues, the performance of Here & Now: The Steps Musical on Tuesday, September 16 at 7:30pm was unable to go ahead as planned.
“All affected customers have been contacted and all remaining performances are scheduled to go ahead.”
