One person has been treated at the scene after a fire broke out at a property in South Ayrshire.

Emergency services were called around 7.33am on Tuesday to a fire at a residential property on Willow Lane in Troon.

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service mobilised two appliances to the scene and crews remain in attendance.

The Scottish Ambulance Service said one person was treated at the scene following the blaze.

A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “We were alerted at 7.33am on Tuesday, May 19 to reports of a fire in a residential property on Willow Lane, Troon.

“Operations Control mobilised two appliances to the scene.

“Crews remain in attendance.”

A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We received a call at 7.51am to attend an incident on Willow Lane in Troon.

“An ambulance was dispatched, and one patient was treated at the scene.”

A Police Scotland spokesperson added: “Around 8.10am on Tuesday, May 19, we received a report of a fire at a property in the Willow Lane area of Troon.

“Emergency services are in attendance.”
