One person has been taken to hospital after a blaze took hold of a flat in Glasgow.
The Scottish Ambulance Service said crews were called out to an incident on Kilvaxter Drive in the southside of the city at around 9:40pm on Monday.
One ambulance and a special operations team, in conjunction with three vehicles from the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service, responded to the fire with one person transported to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.
The area was made clear by fire crews with four people treated at the scene, some affected by slight smoke inhalation.
A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We received a call at 9.40pm on January 8 2024 to attend an incident on Kilvaxter Drive, Glasgow.
“An ambulance and special operations response team (SORT) were dispatched to the scene and one patient was transported to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.”
A spokesperson for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said: “We were alerted at 9.40pm on Monday, January 8 to reports of a fire at a flat on Kilvaxter Drive, Glasgow.
“Operations Control mobilised three fire appliances to the scene where crews extinguished the flames.
“Four casualties were checked at the scene by Scottish Ambulance Service partners. Crews left after ensuring the area was made safe.”
