A number of CalMac ferry services have been cancelled or delayed due to adverse weather conditions.

All sailings on the Mallaig to Canna route have been cancelled for September 1 due to a forecast of strong winds and sea swell.

There is also disruption on several routes due to the weather and planned maintenance.

This affects some sailings between Ardrossan and Brodick, Oban and Castlebay, Gourock and Dunoon, Berneray and Leverburgh, Gallanach and Kerrera, Mallaig and Lochboisdale and Oban.

Some sailings are cancelled on those crossings, while others are delayed.

A total of 18 routes face possible disruptions, with some in danger of being cancelled at short notice.

Passengers are advised to check for updates on their journey on CalMac’s website before travelling.
