Nine people have been injured, and eight homes have been evacuated after a broke out at a property in Paisley.
Emergency services were called to Barterholm Road around 11pm after the alarm was raised.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service dispatched four fire appliances and one height vehicle to the four-storey building tackle the ground floor blaze.
Seven ambulances, three special operations response teams, two paramedic response cars, a critical care paramedic and a trauma team were sent to the scene.
Three patients were taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary, two patients were taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, and two patients were taken to the Royal Alexandra Hospital.
Two other people received treatment at the scene.
Residents of eight nearby homes were forced to evacuate and placed in alternative accommodation.
The fire has been extinguished but emergency services are still on the scene.
Police say an investigation is currently underway to establish the cause of the fire.
A spokesperson said: “Around 11pm on Sunday, April 6, 2025, we received a report of a fire at a property on Barterholm Road, Paisley.
“Emergency services attended, and seven people were taken to hospital.
“Eight properties have been evacuated as a precaution, and alternative accommodation has been arranged.
“Enquiries are ongoing to establish the cause of the fire.”
A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesperson added: “We received a call at 10.57pm on April 6 to attend an incident on Barterholm Road, Paisley.
“Seven ambulances, three special operations response teams (SORT), two paramedic response cars, a critical care paramedic and a trauma team were dispatched to the scene.
“Three patients were transported to Glasgow Royal Infirmary, two patients were transported to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, and two patients were taken to the Royal Alexandra Hospital.
“Two patients were treated on scene.”
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “We were alerted at 10.53pm on Sunday, April 6 to reports of a house on fire at Barterholm Road, Paisley.
“Operations Control mobilised four fire appliances and one height vehicle to the scene where a fire was affecting a ground floor flat within a four-storey building.
“Nine casualties were in the care of the Scottish Ambulance Service.
“The fire has been extinguished and one fire appliance currently remains at the scene.”
