A health board has restored main power to a hospital in East Kilbride after it had been hit by an outage.
University Hospital Hairmyres was impacted by a power cut on Monday.
NHS Lanarkshire confirmed that main power had been restored.
In a post on Facebook, the health board apologised to patients whose care was disrupted.
The statement read: “Main power was restored to University Hospital Hairmyres earlier today. Emergency care has continued throughout.
“We apologise to all patients whose care is being disrupted today and tomorrow. This will be rescheduled ASAP.
“Work is ongoing to improve the hospital power supply.
“Thank you to our staff for their resilience and professionalism in dealing with the situation.”
