A mystery parcel pop-up shop will allow Scots the chance to unearth some hidden bargains when it arrives in Glasgow this month.

French company King Colis is bringing its popular ‘lost packages’ shop to Scotland, with a week long event at St Enoch Shopping Centre from June 15 to 21.

The pop-up shop sees the firm purchase undelivered parcels that were lost in transit or never delivered due to incorrect addresses, and sold at pop-up events by weight.

Shoppers are unable to open parcels prior to purchase – and could be in for a suprise unboxing, with previous pop-up participants picking up items such as designer trainers, household gadgets and rare collectibles.

King Colis will bring ten tonnes of undelivered parcels to Glasgow for the event and shoppers will have ten minutes to pick the parcels they want priced at £2.50 per 100g.

King Colis CEO and co-founder Killian Denis said: “People are tired of shopping always feeling the same, and I think that’s why the mystery element has connected with so many people online.

“You can spend ten minutes digging through parcels with your friends or family and genuinely have no clue what you’re about to walk away with. That surprise is what makes it fun.

“We’ve seen people uncover everything from valuable collectibles to designer items, but even when the contents aren’t life-changing, people still love the experience of the hunt itself.

“The response to our pop-ups and TikTok videos has been incredible, and we’ve wanted to bring the experience to Scotland for a long time. Glasgow felt like the obvious place to do it first.”

King Colis says it has already saved more than 2,000 tonnes of undelivered parcels from being destroyed since launching in 2023.

The Glasgow pop-up will be located in the main square of St Enoch Shopping Centre, in front of Boots.

Entry is free, although under-16s must be accompanied by an adult. Fast passes to skip queues are also available online.

Opening times:

  • Monday, June 15: 12pm-6pm
  • Tuesday, June 16 to Saturday, June 20: 9am-6pm
  • Sunday, June 21: 10am-6pm
