My Chemical Romance announce Scottish show as part of world tour

The band will be performing in Glasgow as part of the Summer Sessions events next year.

Emo icons My Chemical Romance are to play a show in Scotland as part of a world tour next year.

The band, led by lead singer Gerard Way, are celebrating 20 years since the release of their hit album the Black Parade with dates across the globe.

My Chemical Romance will play Glasgow’s Bellahouston Park on July 4 as part of Summer Sessions, after playing at the home of Liverpool FC at Anfield Stadium.

The group have also confirmed three nights in London in July at Wembley Stadium, after selling out an original one-date announcement.

They broke up in 2013, before reuniting in 2019. They played in Glasgow in 2022 after a tour was delayed due to the Covid pandemic.

How to get tickets

Tickets will go on general on sale at 12pm on September 26 from the Summer Sessions website and through Ticketmaster.

Ticket prices are yet to be confirmed.

Support acts

Support for the Glasgow show is yet to be announced but, with doors set to open at 5pm and the show to run until 11pm, it is likely to be a jam-packed line-up.

On the band’s North American leg’s very special guests include Franz Ferdinand, Pierce The Veil, Modest Mouse, Iggy Pop, Sleater-Kinney, The Breeders, Babymetal, Jimmy Eat World, and The Mars Volta.

Support for their show in Tampa, Florida came from rock band Evanescence.
