Google MapsA crash involving multiple vehicles has closed a busy junction of the M74 in Glasgow.
Police Scotland confirmed the motorway at junction one near Polmadie heading south is closed due to the collision at around 6.55pm on Wednesday involving a number of vehicles
Drivers are being warned of delays of around 45 minutes and are being asked to find alternative routes.
Police Scotland said in a statement: “The M74 is closed southbound between Junction 1 and Junction 1a due to a crash which happened around 6.55pm.
“Emergency services are at the scene.
“Drivers are urged to use an alternative route.”
A Traffic Scotland post at 7pm read: “The M74 southbound at Junction 1 is closed due to a multi vehicle accident.
“Road users are advised to use an alternative route at this time.”
