An MP has slammed a “hugely damaging” event set to be held by controversial adult star Bonnie Blue aimed at Scottish university students.

Real name Tia Billinger, she gained fame on social media after she claimed to have had sex with more than 1,000 men in 12 hours.

A freshers week event is set to be held in Glasgow on Saturday, after a previous event due to occur in Dundee was removed from Blue’s social media.

In a post on X, she advertised the event and said: “First stop Glasgow, see you soon boys.”

A disclaimer on her website states: “Bonnie will not be engaging in any sexual activity with the public.”

The 26-year-old has been banned from platforms such as adult site OnlyFans due to the nature of her content.

Blue, who was the subject of a Channel 4 documentary called ‘1,000 Men and Me’, said every participant in her videos has to sign a consent form and show ID beforehand.

‘Glamourisation of commercialisation of women’s bodies’

Joani Reid, MP for East Kilbride and Strathaven, told STV News the freshers event is “hugely damaging” for both young women and men.

She said: “Let me be clear, Bonnie Blue is not bringing empowerment to universities, including in Glasgow.

“It’s not entertainment. It’s the glamorisation of the commercialisation of women’s bodies. It is harmful to all women across Scotland, and young men as well.

“The problem is deeper and more systemic than Bonnie Blue herself. I’m deeply concerned about the rise of this kind of pornography on platforms like OnlyFans.

“Young women are feeling coerced into imitating this kind of behaviour, and young boys are being desensitised to violent and degrading behaviour towards women.

“It’s hugely damaging.”
