Police have named a motorcyclist who died following a crash in South Lanarkshire.

Allan Robertson was pronounced dead at the scene of the collision on the A702 near Elvanfoot around 12.20pm on Sunday, September 22.

The 58-year-old was the rider of an orange Triumph motorcycle.

Constable Graeme Marshall, from the Road Policing Unit, said: “Our thoughts remain with the family and friends of Mr Robertson as they come to terms with their loss.

“Our enquiries remain ongoing, and we are asking anyone who may have witnessed the crash or who may have dash-cam footage and hasn’t already spoken with police to please get in touch.”
