A man has died in hospital after a road crash which involved two motorbikes and one car in Argyll on Sunday evening.

At around 6.10pm on September 25, a 55-year-old man was riding his Triumph motorcycle and a 54-year-old man was on his Honda motorbike on the B845 between Kilchrenan and Taynuilt, when they were involved in a road crash with a Skoda car being driven by a 37-year-old man.

Police and the ambulance service arrived at the scene and the three men were taken to Lorn and Islands Hospital in Oban, where the 55-year-old motorcyclist died a short time later.

The 54-year-old and the 37-year-old men were released after treatment.

Police are now carrying out enquiries and are asking anyone with information which may assist them to get in contact.

Sergeant Kevin Craig of the road policing unit at Dumbarton said: “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the man who died. 

“We would ask anyone who has any information that may assist our enquiries into this crash to contact us through 101 with reference number 2671 of September 25.”
