Train services through Johnstone have been suspended due to an ongoing incident blocking the line.
ScotRail said that services are unable to pass Milliken Park as emergency services attend the scene at around 9am on Tuesday.
The train operator confirmed that McGill’s bus services between Johnstone and Glasgow were accepting tickets.
Customers who were expecting to travel via ScotRail train in the area need to show a valid ticket or Smartcard to the driver before boarding.
The nature of the incident is unknown but a Scottish Ambulance Service (SAS) confirmed that they had dispatched n ambulance, a special operations response team (SORT) and a critical care paramedic to the scene.
A spokesperson for ScotRail said: “The emergency services are dealing with an incident in the Milliken Park area.
“Unfortunately that means we can’t run trains through this area as the line is currently blocked.
“We’ll keep you updated”.
A SAS spokesperson said: “We received a call at 08:51 to attend an incident at Milliken Park, Johnstone.
“An ambulance, a special operations response team (SORT) and a critical care paramedic were dispatched to the scene.”
Police Scotland have been contacted for comment.
