Missing man’s family informed after body pulled from river Police Scotland

The family of a missing man in Glasgow has been informed after police recovered a body from the River Clyde on Monday morning.

Brian Hamill, 39, was reported missing from his home in the Dumbarton Road area of Partick earlier this month, sparking extensive police enquiries to locate him.

Officer were called at around 7.30am on Monday and recovered a man’s body from the river, near to the Clyde Arc, a short time later.

Formal identification is yet to take place but Mr Hamill’s family have been made aware.

There are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal in due course.
