Missing man seen in Oban one month after ‘out of character’ disappearance as search continuesPolice Scotland

A missing man has been spotted over 150 miles from home, almost a month since his “out of character” disappearance.

Raymond Morrisey was reported missing from Moffat on July 15, but had not been seen since June 26.

A month on from his disappearance, officers believe the 59-year-old has travelled to the Oban area.

Raymond was seen in a local convenience store at the corner of Argyll Square and McGregor Court between 5.20pm and 5.30pm on July 22.

Sergeant Dave Ware said: “We want to ensure Raymond is safe and well.

“He likes being in the outdoors and going for walks, but it’s out of character for him to be out of touch with people for this length of time and I would ask anyone who may have seen Raymond or has any information as to where he may be to contact us.

“Anyone with information is asked to call Police Scotland via 101, quoting 1812 of July 15, 2025.”
