Missing man called family to say car had broken down on M9 days ago

Christopher Jiggins has not been in contact with his family since Sunday evening.

Missing man Christopher Jiggins disappeared two days ago on M9 near Stirling Police Scotland

Relatives of a man who was last heard from two days ago when his car broke down say they are growing increasingly concerned for his welfare.

Christopher Jiggins, 54, last contacted his family around 11pm and midnight on May 22 off the M9 near Stirling.

He was driving in his silver Peugeot Partner van, registration number EA02RCZ, from England to Lossiemouth in Moray.

He told his family his car had broken down on the motorway when he last contacted them, before disappearing.

The van was later recovered on the hard shoulder of the M9 between junctions nine and ten.

Mr Jiggins has been described as a white male, 5ft 10in, and of medium build.

He has thinning black hair with a black bushy beard and an English accent.

He was last seen wearing a beanie hat, a green camouflage jacket and green camouflage shorts.

Anyone who may have seen Christopher since this time, or who has any information which may assist with enquiries is urged to contact Police Scotland via 101 quoting incident 3930 of May 23, 2022.
