A 12-year-old from Ayr who sparked an urgent week-long search has been traced “safe and well”.
Jamie-Lee Harvie boarded a train from Ayr train station at around 3.23pm on Tuesday, March 14, and was seen getting off at Irvine train station the same day.
Officers confirmed she had been traced in the Irvine area.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Jamie-Lee Harvie, 12, who had been missing from Ayr since Tuesday, March 14 has been traced safe and well by officers in the Irvine area this afternoon.
“Thank you to everyone who assisted in the search for Jamie-Lee, and thank you to members of the public for sharing our appeal.
