A weather warning has been issued as “freezing fog” continues to create difficult travel conditions in Glasgow.
The Met Office issued a yellow warning that has been put in place from 5pm on Tuesday and will last until 11am on Wednesday.
The warning is in place across Strathclyde, Falkirk and Stirling.
Forecasters warned that the freezing fog, which has persisted all day, will likely become thicker by Tuesday evening.
Drivers in the affected areas have been urged to take care and leave extra time for their journeys.
The Met Office said icy patches on untreated roads and pavements could increase the risk of accidents.
Forecasters warned that bus, ferry and train services, as well as flights could be delayed or cancelled as the conditions persist.
The M8 Kingston Bridge in Glasgow had long tailbacks eastbound as traffic slowed, causing half-hour waits.
