Two men are being hunted following sex crimes which happened in the same area on consecutive days in Hamilton.
In the first incident, a woman was sexually assaulted by a man near Palace Grounds Road at around 5.35pm on August 28.
The suspect is described as black, aged in his 20s or 30s and around 5ft 5in tall, wearing a brown/mustard coat and a backpack.
He was last seen heading in the direction of the path towards Strathclyde Park.
In the second incident, at around 7pm on August 29, a man was seen carrying out a sexual act on himself in the same area.
He is described as white, in his early 40s, and he was wearing blue jeans, a dirty white shirt, and carrying a supermarket shopping bag.
Sergeant Billy Sloan of Hamilton Police Office said: “These incidents are not being treated as linked, however extensive enquiries are ongoing to trace both of these men.
“I would urge anyone who recognises their descriptions or who has any information to contact police.
“We know these incidents can be worrying for the community, but I want to reassure you that we have increased patrols in the area.”
