Man’s body recovered from River Clyde close to leisure centre Google Maps

The body of a man has been recovered from the River Clyde in Clydebank.

Police were called to the river, close to the Clydebank Leisure Centre, at around 2.55pm on Tuesday, December 21.

Formal identification is yet to take place, officers said, but the family of Derek Beattie has been made aware.

Mr Beattie was reported missing from the Harthill area on Saturday, November 27.

Police say there are no apparent suspicious circumstances.

A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
