Manhunt launched near flat block for suspect with 'bladed weapon'

A manhunt has been launched on a street near a Glasgow flat block for an individual allegedly wielding a bladed weapon.

Emergency services were called to Tinwald Path in the Hillington area of the city at around 12.50pm on Tuesday.

Officers remain on the scene and an investigation is ongoing.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 12.50pm on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, we received a report of a man in possession of a bladed weapon on Tinwald Path in Glasgow.

“Officers are currently in attendance and enquiries are ongoing.”
