A man who died after being struck by a car in North Ayrshire has been named by police.
The crash, which involved a pedestrian and a black Land Rover Discovery Sport, happened on the A737 south of Beith at about 10.45pm on December 20.
The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene, and has been named by police as Derek Logan, aged 46, from the North Ayrshire area.
Road policing sergeant Brian Simpson said: “Our thoughts remain with Mr Logan’s family and friends at this difficult time and they have asked for privacy.
“We are continuing to appeal for information and anyone who can assist, particularly if you have dash-cam footage, is asked to call Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 3948 of Wednesday, December 20, 2023.”
