A man who died after being struck by a car on a motorway in Glasgow has been named by police.
Daniel McFarland was walking along the M8 eastbound carriageway around 7.25pm on Wednesday, when he was hit by a Vauxhall Astra.
Emergency services attended the incident, near to the on slip from the M77, but the 41-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene.
Sergeant Jon Mochan said: “Our thoughts remain with the family and friends of Daniel at this difficult time.
“Our investigation into the crash is ongoing and I would appeal to anyone who saw this incident to contact us.
“Whether you saw a man walking along the carriageway or were on the road at the time and have dash-cam footage, you may have information that will assist our investigation.”
