A man who called police after being assaulted has been arrested after a body was found in a flat in Glasgow.
Police were contacted by a man, aged 28, after he was taken to hospital following a serious assault within the Springfield Road area at around 10.15pm on Thursday.
Two men, aged 17 and 40, were arrested in connection with attack.
During investigations into the incident, officers discovered the body of an unidentified man within a flat in Springfield Road.
The death is being treated as unexplained at this time.
A 28-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the discovery and enquires remain ongoing.
Officers understand the assault and discovery of the body are linked.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 10.15pm on Thursday, August 15 2024, a 28-year-old man reported to police he had been assaulted in Springfield Road, Glasgow. The man was taken to hospital and two men, aged 17 and 40, were arrested.
“While conducting enquiries into this serious assault officers discovered the body of an unidentified man within a flat in Springfield Road.
“The death is being treated as unexplained and inquiries are ongoing to identify the man and establish the circumstances of the death. A man, aged 28 ,has been arrested and enquiries are ongoing.
“At this time, officers believe the incidents to be linked.”
